Philanthropy & Service

  • Philanthropy & Service

Philanthropy is a foundation of Greek life.  By helping make the lives of others better, Greeks make their own college experiences better as well as learning important lessons about the values and ideals of their organizations.

Panhellenic sororities are leaders in community service.  Sororities annually participate in UT traditional events such as Dance Marathon, where Panhellenic women serve on the leadership planning committee.  Smaller-scale events address immediate community needs and build sisterhood.  Every Panhellenic sorority hosts their own community service and philanthropy events.  Participation in other chapter events causes encourages unity and expands the breadth of service opportunities.
